Positions for students:
We are inviting creative, motivated, and open-minded Ph.D., Master's, and Undergraduate candidates to join us. Applicants with research interests in surface engineering, functional polymer, interface mechanics, micro/nanofabrication, soft matter, tribology, energy, fluid dynamics, wetting dynamics, thermal fluid, organic synthesis, and MD simulation are preferred; Applicants in other science and engineering department are also encouraged to apply, as long as you have interests in scientific research. We have several postdoctoral positions available for creative, motivated, and open-minded researchers experienced but not limited to functional surfaces, interfacial mechanics, nanochannel flow, silicone chemistry, or flow batteries. The salary scale for Postdocs: ~ï¿¥250,000 - 300,000 + per year provided by DUT; ï¿¥300,000 will be provided by Dalian City if identified as Young Talents of Dalian City; ï¿¥300,000 will be provided by Dalian City if identified as Xingliao Talent Plan. The Dalian University of Technology is one of the key national universities under the direct jurisdiction of the Chinese Ministry of Education. DUT, located in the coastal city of Dalian, is a multi-disciplined university concentrating on science and technology and covering economics, management, applied liberal arts, foreign languages, and social sciences as well. There are graduate schools, 7 faculties, and 5 colleges with 32,000 full-time students. DUT has been active in academic exchange and cooperation both at home and abroad. It has signed academic agreements with more than 120 institutions of higher education or scientific research in more than 20 different countries and regions. The School of International Cultural Exchanges was set up to take the responsibility for the enrollment, education, and management of international students. To date, about 6,000 students from more than 100 countries have studied here, either for degrees or Chinese language training. Through many years' practice, the school has gained experience and reputation in both the areas of teaching and management.
Dalian is a comely, romantic, and dynamic coastal city! Dalian is more like a coastal city in southern China as it does not have a freezing temperature of -30 ℃ (-22 ℉) in winter and the summer heat here is not so hot thanks to the soft sea wind. It also boasts long coastlines, fantastic sea views, sun-kissed beaches, holiday resorts, and coastal parks. A variety of exotic streets and countless century-old European buildings in Zhongshan Square add more charm to Dalian. The old trams still running on the street slowly pass through the city, connecting numerous landmark squares, but also symbolizing the brand of an era. The best time to visit Dalian is from May to September. Fishing and tasting the best fresh seafood from September to October is the most satisfying thing to do.
